Children's Faith Formation
The mission of the Children's Discipleship Team is to empower, encourage, teach, and love the children of Messiah Lutheran Church and our community. Our purpose is to facilitate children to be inspired to have a strong foundation in the church and take responsibility for their spiritual journey. Our committee vision is to support Messiah's vision and to create a family focused welcoming environment.

Blessing of the Backpacks - August 14, 2011 - 8:30 & 11:00 am
August is always an exciting time at Messiah Lutheran filled with back-to-school anticipation. To take part in the excitement, we invite you to join us August 14 during the 8:30 or 11:00 am worship for The Blessing of the Backpacks. If you will be attending school this fall (adults included) bring your backpack and receive a blessing for a great year of learning.
Fall Kickoff - August 21 - 9:45 am
Be sure to mark your calendar for August 21, 2011. During the Sunday school hour we will kick off the new academic year. There will be singing, games—and, of course, food! This is an intergenerational activity so be sure to get the entire family involved. Friends are always welcome. Regularly scheduled Sunday school will start the following Sunday, August 28.
