You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill...
Okay, so actually we're not on a hill. We're just west of Bearden Hill at the intersection of Papermill Drive and Kingston Pike. But, we do have lights, and love to let them shine.
In our 58th year, Messiah has a rich history of letting its light shine in our community and around the world. We're a medium size community of faith, a part of the much larger Christian tradition known as Lutheran (ELCA).
We're an inclusive, welcoming community. We worship with a traditional, but creative liturgical style. We really enjoy deep theological questioning and conversation as we seek to grow in faith. And, we place a lot of emphasis on serving and caring for each other and our community as we seek to bless and love the world around us.
If you're looking for a place to let your light - your gifts, passions and interests - shine, we'd love for you to join us. Please take a few moments to check us out here and wander over to our Facebook page. Most importantly, please come visit us in person. We'll even leave the light on for you.
