Messiah Lutheran Church, Knoxville TN

At Messiah our form of worship is known as "liturgical," meaning literally "a work of the people." Thus, in worship, you will witness us standing, sitting, kneeling, and responding (through words, songs, and silence.) In other words, for Lutheran Christians, worship is not passive, but very much an act - a work in which we all participate.

Sunday Worship Schedule

8:30 AM - Worship with Holy Communion

9:45 AM - Sunday School for all ages

11:00 AM - Worship with Holy Communion

A service of healing is included with Holy Communion on the third Sunday of each month. Those desiring have the opportunity to receive a personal prayer and blessing.
